Barking Art Society has been established for over 50 years and meets at Eastbury Manor House, a Grade I listed building, at 7.30 pm on Wednesdays.
Barking Arts Society has regular sketching trips and exhibitions of paintings as part of a planned programme of events.
The paintings exhibited are all by members of the society in range of mediums.
The main exhibition this year was held in the summer at Valence House Museum there were 3 categories Local Scenes, Watercolour and Other Media. Professional local Artist William Newton judged the exhibition.
William Newton will also be undertaking a painting workshop for Barking Art Society as part of the 2007 programme. |
