The next family fun day at Eastbury Manor House in Barking will be the Garland Day on Saturday, 5 May.
The Tudor mansion will have a floral theme with costumed guided tours, a children's trail and children's workshop. There will also be Morris Dancing performed by Upstreet Morris, flower arranging demonstrations given by Barking Flower Arrangers, face painting by Cheeky Monkey and a craft fair.
The day runs from 10am to 4pm and the Old Buttery Gift Shop and Garden Tea Room will be open throughout the day. Admission is £2.50 for adults and 65p for children. Free admission is available for National Trust Members.
Also, coming soon to Eastbury Manor House is 'The Candlelit Tour'
The Candlelit Tour on Tuesday, 24 April is a private evening tour of the House. The tour guides will be in costume and will make the House come alive with their descriptions and stories of Tudor Life at the House.
Tickets are £2.50 per person and the evening runs from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The Old Buttery Gift Shop will be open as will the Garden tea room serving light refreshments during the event.
Cllr Bob Little, Executive Member for Heritage said: "There is a variety of events happening this summer at Eastbury Manor House for people of all ages. The Garland Day is a great day out with lots to do for all the family."
