People applying to work in Brent, North West London could soon be reading the same detailed information about the opportunities, transport links and facilities in the borough regardless of which employer they are hoping to work for thanks to a new job pack.
The landmark Brent Job Pack will be used by the council, health authority, police, educational institutes and employment providers and will also be available to private companies, charities and small businesses.
Gareth Daniel, Chief Executive of Brent Council, chairs the Local Public Service Partnership Board. He says: “This is a very exciting development as the Job Pack will be available to all organisations. Brent has more people of working age and more management and professional jobs than the national average and I am very pleased to see public agencies and businesses co-operating in this way. The Job Pack reflects the borough’s prominent national profile by presenting a consistent, high quality image to applicants across all sectors of the economy.
“The ability of public bodies such as the council and the police to work together to deliver improved services will become central to future performance. We need to embrace these challenges and build a strong and united leadership and workforce that cuts across organisations to deliver excellent services."
Employers who would like to find out more about making use of the Brent Job Pack should contact Cathy Tyson, Assistant Director – Policy, at Brent Council on 020 8937 1045.
